Landing Page Analytics: What to Measure

Landing page analytics should answer a small set of questions: who arrived, what they did, whether they converted, and where meaningful differences appear.

Start with traffic and conversions

Volume and conversion outcomes are the foundation. Everything else should help explain or segment those results.

Segment by source and device

Performance can differ sharply between paid search, social, email, desktop and mobile.

Use behavior as diagnosis

Scroll depth and click behavior can suggest where to investigate, but they do not prove why visitors acted as they did.

Connect to economics

When possible, pair page conversion metrics with lead quality, revenue or another downstream outcome.
